Do you have products in your studio that you bought because you thought they would be fun to use ... and then you never used them?
That's pretty much the case with this pink glittery foam that I'm guessing I picked-up in the children's craft section at Michael's. Can't even remember how long it's been in my drawer ... but today it finally made it to a card. I love how playing along with the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges at Splitcoast cause me to revive things from my stash.
The shiny royal blue paper as likewise been in my stash for over 10 years (it was paper I received for my first-ever design job for our local scrapbooking store). I love it when supplies finally find a creative home.
I used my new Spellbinders Celebra'tions Pierced Stars die cuts by Richard Garay ... I thought there would be 6 pierced stars in the package, but instead there are three solid stars and three pierced stars (that only pierce) that are smaller than the solid stars. Oh well ... still a very cool effect and easy to use with a bit of washi tape to hold them in place while I die cut. I think it might be fun to just use the pierced stars to create a background. I'm linking-up at the Mod Squad Challenge where the theme is Anything goes PLUS a DIE.
My layout inspiration was from the As You See It Challenge.
I distressed my smaller white star and added a bit of royal blue ink for definition (and I noticed when I was editing my photograph that it looks like I may have attached it upside down with the piercing facing out rather than inward ... why do I only notice these things after the card is finished?)
I embossed my tiny little A Muse Sentiment for the Embossing Challenge at Seize the Birthday.
The falling star die cut is from Simon Says Stamp and is backed with more of the glittery foam ... finding a tape that would hold this baby together was the most challenging part of the creative process.
Okay, now how perfect is that paper from your stash?! Love this.

The pink glittery foam is my favorite! :) I'm a sucker for stars too so anytime those are on a card, I'm all about it! :) Thanks for playing along with the AYSI Challenge this week! I hope you'll join us this week - the new challenge (a color challenge) is already up this morning!
