Now that we're half-way through the year, it's time to pick-up the pace of my holiday card making (because one a week isn't going to get me where I need to be). I decided to use this week's Paper Smooches Designer Drafts Sketch to knock another out.
I combined the Paper Smooches Poinsettia Die Cut with Christmas Words using classic holiday colors.
I added a few yellow gems to the center of my poinsettia and some sparkly sequins to finish.
The theme at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is ... W is for Wine.
I used my wine stamps from Unity's A Round of Cocktails and paired it with a grape vine (that I die cut using Marianne Design Die Garden Branch) using this week's CAS(E) this Sketch.
I loved the inspiration at the Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sight Challenge so much I had to make another inspired design.
This time I took my inspiration from the Big Yellow Flower, the Orange Sunburst, the and the Metallic Gold Pillow.
I started by die cutting the three pieces of my Mondo Magnolia from two different yellow papers and stamped my Mondo Magnolia flower three times. The layout is this week's sketch from The Paper Players, which was perfect for creating an awesome background using Bokeh Dots and Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink.
I pulled my banner colors from the Inspiration Photos and finished with a border of gold glitter paper and a sentiment from Fancy Thanks.
I'm also joining Loves Rubberstamps where the Challenge is to use a Die Cut.
These too monster stickers have been on my studio table for quite a while ... and when I saw this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch, I knew they were finally going to make it onto a card.
The right monster only had a monocle, so I added a pair of sticker glasses for him. My sentiment is vintage Hero Arts.
I went about as far away as I possibly could from the *topping* of Nothing but Neutral colors at Seize the Birthday, but I'm still linking-up my celebratory creation.

I love joining the fun of the Monthly Challenge Remix at the TGIF Challenge.
This week I combined all three challenges ... sketch, watercolor and together forever.
I pulled out some vintage woodblock stamps (Penny Black Bridal March and a tiny Stampin' Up Sentiment). I stamped my image in black, clear embossed, and then brushed over several shades of watercolor paint and blended with more water to soften the colors.
I took my colors from the hues at showCASe your style.
I'm also joining the Weddings Challenge at CCCE Stampers Challenge.
The Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge was the perfect opportunity to break-out my new stamps and die cuts. Here's the Inspiration:
I love the sherbet like colors and the all over pattern in the bottom right picture ... I also liked the touch of metallic glimmer.
I started by masking & stamping the Mondo Magnolia on white cardstock to create my background.
Next I die cut lots of Bohemian Garden flowers from designer paper scraps in the fun colors from the inspiration photo and then stamped the bloom. I ended-up almost covering my entire stamped background, but I loved the effect. I used a metallic sparkle pen to color in the centers of the flowers.
I finished with a Mondo Magnolia sentiment and another small Bohemian Garden Flower using this week's Nacho Average Challenge Sketch.
We're still creating with Cardstock at Jingle Belles. I used the sketch from A Blog Named Hero for my design.
I used Hero Arts Stamp & Cuts Ornament together with a sentiment from Hero Arts Deer.
I finished with some SRM Sticker Stitches.
Tonight I was inspired by the Get Fired Up! Challenge at Retro Rubber to break out some Echo Park Stars & Stripes paper and a vintage A Muse Sentiment (this stamp might be 10 years old ... just can't part with those great tiny sentiments).
I combined two papers, a sticker and my sentiment stamp.

We've had storm after storm lately ... so glad to wake-up to the sun shining.
Here's a picture (no editing or filter) from our roof-top deck after Sunday night's storm ... I learned from Lydia that those are Mammatus Clouds (click on the photo for a larger view).
