It's always a thrill (and a bit of a let down) when I make my 12th tag for the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist ... this one inspired by Ellen Hutson herself.
As I was searching through my studio for a sheet of wood to die cut (which I know I have ... just don't know where I stashed it), I saw the reverse of the crimped paper Prize Stag Die Cut that I used for this tag, and decided to re-use/recycle for my final design.
I also took a little inspiration from today's Splitcoast Challenge Inspiration Challenge ... this cool Pendleton Trophy Deer.
I trimmed my crimped cardstock into a tag and attached it to a piece of blue cardstock. Next I die cut my Brushstroke Peace and punched stars from the glitter border on a recycled Christmas card (don't you save all of the Christmas cards you receive to recycle into new cards?) and stamped my Brushtroke sentiment in red on a scrap of blue cardstock.
I wanted to incorporate the cool Staple element from Ellen's Tag, so I stapled my wired red ribbon to the top before attaching my tag to a holiday card (because I still have a few more to send). The final touch was a red gem nose ... I love how this turned out.
Love this!
