Today I did a quick an easy project to make some magnet sets. I started with fantastic flair from the Etsy Store A Flair for Buttons (I love being able to support another creative soul in Iowa).
The flair comes in pre-selected sets, or you can create your own from the hundreds of designs in her shop. When you order, you can select Open Back, Pin Back or Flat Back ... I prefer the Flat Back for my cards & magnets.
I use these very strong magnets because they hold really well (I usually buy them at Michael's or JoAnn's with my 40% off coupon).
You can use a variety of adhesives ... this Loctite Go2 Gel Adhesive is what I had in my stash, and it worked well because it's clear & easy to apply just a small amount (so it doesn't *smoosh* out when you push the flair & magnet together.
These make great little gifts when you put them inside a metal tin for wrapping.
yay for coffee magnets!
