Vintage Floral Sympathy

It feels so good to finally be moved in and settled in our new home ... and to be able to spend my Saturday putzing in my studio with no particular plans.

Today I decided to join the Inspiration Challenge at SplitCoast Stampers.  I chose this gorgeous photograph for my inspiration.

I started my design with a pice of Susan Winget designer paper by K&Company.  To bring in the feel of the shutters, I used an arrow embossing folder on Core'Dinations White Wash cardstock and sanded to reveal the pattern.

I stamped a vertical sympathy sentiment on another piece of White Wash Cardstock.  Next, I added several wraps of thicker linen cord and finished with a vintage button made of sea shell.  The layout is this week's Freshly Made Sketch.
