It's the final Sketch Challenge at Unscripted Sketches. I loved being on the design team for those sketches, and they have invited me back for the farewell Sketch design.
I used the beautiful paper and sticker I received from UmWow!'s Nature Walk Collection for my design ... they are so perfect for masculine card designs.
The stamped Happy Birthday sentiment is from Crafter's Companion Everyday Sentimentals - Imagine.
I'm also joining the Brown Sugar Challenge where the theme is Birthdays.
We got the keys to our new condo today, so the moving begins ... love my new kitchen.
So thrilled to finally have a counter-top that is big enough for me to roll-out a yummy batch of cinnamon rolls.
We're still celebrating Peace at Jingle Belles this week ... we're asking you to incorporate a Peace Symbol .. or the word PEACE into your design ... or you can create a card that evokes Peace for you (make sure you explain what makes it PEACEful to you).
I did a variation on a theme from last week's card ... the same pretty blue, snowflakes and a CAS design ... with a background of twinkling stars on top of the snowflakes this time.

Old is my Hero Arts Tiny Star Background; new is my Hero Arts Lowercase Greetings; and of course my card is a peaceful blue.

I'm sneaking in a few more cards before all of my studio supplies have to be packed and moved ... I love the challenge of creating with what I have on my table ... in this case Authentique's Genuine Collection and Hero Arts stamps (Operation Write Home Dude & a 2011 Hero Arts/Studio Calico set for the cake).
A few cork arrows and some golden gems finish the card using this week's Freshly Made Sketch.

My baby card stash is depleted, so I was able to put together a quick card using a Top Dog Onesie Die Cut that a friend die cut for me (I bought the die cut and then realized it won't work with my Cuttlebug) together with some sentiment stickers.
I'm also joining the Anything Goes Challenge at Simon Says Stamp.
Later this week, Crafter's Companion will be releasing 4 new sentiment stamp sets, as well as a CD-ROM and embossing folders from the Vintage Floral Collection featuring artwork by Jessica Mundo.
My card features two gorgeous papers and a detail-cut and layered rose printed from the CD-ROM, as well as a sentiment from a new stamp set called Vintage Floral Verses. I finished with a vellum die cut butterfly.

Well, my studio is 90% packed. I have my cutter and inks, an embellishment drawer, a tray of stamps, a few punches, white cardstock and my scraps to work with for the next few weeks ... I'm calling it my MacGyver Cardmaking phase.
Here's my first attempt using 2 inks, a combination of wedding stamps, and a little bling as well as this week's CAS(E) this Sketch.
It took two attempts at stamping (ahmmm ... turns out one of the stamps hadn't been cleaned very well, so my monochromatic design was a bit *off*), but otherwise it came together quickly.
Now where did I put my envelopes? May have to just make my own.
We have sold our house and are have started packing-up to be ready to move to our new downtown loft condominium. We don't move until the beginning of June, but Dad took advantage of the holiday weekend to visit and help me pack.
Yesterday we packed-up the kitchen (yes, that means paper plates and take-out for a few weeks).
Today we bagan packing the rest of my studio (which I will admit is causing me a bit of anxiety as I think about being without my art supplies for several weeks). Paper is heavy!
We also had the chance to stop by our new place and give Dad a tour. Here we are on the roof where we will soon be grilling and watching the sunset (with water tower from the neighboring condominium in the background).
I have quite a few posts already written for the moving hiatus, but will likely be less active than usual ... however, soon I will be creating in my awesome new studio space (can't wait).

I used one of the Sketches from Hero Arts for my PEACEful design.
I used Peace from Christmas Reindeer together with Winter Trees ... both stamped in Arctic Deep Colorbox Chalk In. In addition to my PEACE sentiment, I find the forest at night with the snowfalling to be one of the most peaceful places to be. I also find clean & simple monochromatic designs to be peaceful on the eyes (especially in a deep peaceful blue.
