I love to make wedding cards that incorporate the colors of the wedding invitation. I also had a request to make some cards that incorporated the new couple's name and some fancy initial stickers ... and this is what I came-up with.
I started by sizing and coloring the name in my word processing program to coordinate with the letter sticker. I tried several fonts and decided that I liked the clean look of Cambria for my names. I sized the Mr. and Mrs. slightly smaller than the last name to get a balanced look with my sticker.
I printed the name on textured ivory card stock and then over-stamped the Penny Black Bride and Groom. I used colored pencils to add a small bit of color to the bouquet and boutineer.
I'm joining the Clean and Simple and Classy and Elegant Challenge at the Love to Create Challenge Blog ... so nice to be able to create a card that is BOTH.
This will be a design that is easy to reproduce by changing the colors and the name ... love that.
Nice card! The design compliments the "antique" style of the letter sticker very nicely. Nice blend of old and new. :)

These wedding cards are absolutely spectacular. I love what you have done with the names. The texture of the card makes it a bit unique from the usual wedding card. I saw all the other cards that you have created and I have become a big fan of yours. So, keep up the good work.

Hey penny I loved your design. It is an amazing blend of simple and classy. The colors you have used for designing this wedding invitation card really compliments each other. I love the idea of using Penny Black Bride and Groom theme. The texture and pattern of the card adds up to its look and feel.
