I loved Lyndal's gorgeous contrast of the sky against the white tree trunks in this week's Muse Challenge Card.
I started by stamping Hero Arts Tree Trunks in Unicorn White Ink on yellow cardstock and embossing with white embossing powder. Next I started inking greens from the bottom ... purple to blues in the sky.
I added some glittering stars in the sky and framed my image with white woodgrain cardstock. The sentiment from Hero Arts.
I don't usually scrapbook, but I do always check out that section of the craft store to see what I might be able to repurpose for cardmaking. One of my favorites are cards made for using with Project Life-type scrapbooking. They are perfectly sized to be the focal point on a card.
I added an SRM Sticker sentiment to this cute little eat cake! card using this week's Wanna Sketch? The colors and layered blooms were inspired by this week's {Cupcake Inspiration}.
A strip of glitter tape, and this card came together in no time.

I used a digital image called Tulip for my design. I did a bit of digital paper piecing using yellow & orange digital papers, and then added additional color using colored pencil blending.
Instead of a doily, I used a champagne pearl flourish and added lots of fun sequins and an epoxy flower. The Mother's Day sentiment is from Crafter's Companion Friends and Family ... because Mother's Day is the perfect time to send a bouquet through the mail that will never wilt.
My cardmaking mojo seems to be on Spring Break this weekend ... I've been trying to make some birthday cards, but the first few didn't even make it to the photo booth. This one did, but all of the white on the background makes it look a bit overexposed.
I used a project life card with this week's Retro Sketch.
I also joined the Tall & Skinny Card Challenge at "Just Us Girls".
This week we're celebrating the Spirit of Christmas Past at Jingle Belles ... we're creating cards celebrating all things vintage. It could mean incorporating true vintage elements ... or just a vintage style ... whatever says "vintage" to you.
For me it meant going straight to my vintage sheet music collection. I found this image at the top of a page of a vintage Christmas Carol.
I used the side of my colored pencils to gently shade in the vintage paper in certain places. I wanted it to look like one of those old hand-colored black & white photos.
My layout was inspired by this week's Unscripted Sketch. I had to move my *flower* element to the other side of my image because the vintage lady looked strange with big jingle bells coming out of her hat. I finished with a champagne pearl flourish (that I cut apart a bit and repositioned so it wouldn't cover my image)
I'm also joining the Shake Your Thing Challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges ... because my *thing* is using vintage elements with clean & simple designs. It's also Anything Goes Week at Christmas Card Challenges.

I love the image in today's Fusion Card Challenge ... and the sketch has lots of great layers.
I started by wanting to create something similar to the brick wall background. I embossed kraft cardstock with my Gun Metal Embossalicious Folder and then added Brushed Corduroy and Festive Berries Distress Ink. I had thought that would be my background, but it ended-up working out better as one of my panels with my metallic copper background.
Next I used the same Distress Ink combination to stamp my Eiffel Tower Dress Form from Crafter's Companion Paris Travels. I added several of the Paris postmark images from the same set to give it more of a postcard feel like the photograph. I framed it with a gold mat to pull in the feel of the lovely scarf and then added a coordinating Prima Flower.
I finished with a Flowing Happy Birthday sentiment and several Studio Calico Printshop Word Stickers.
Today's request was for a Good Luck card featuring a Beer ... to which my husband commented, who needs good luck when you have a beer ... gotta love that guy.
Layout is from Try Stampin' on Tuesday which has a Masculine Touch this week. Papers are Basic Grey Persimmon. Main image is A Round of Cocktails ... a favorite from Unity ... with an EAD Sticker sentiment.

I always love a chance to go wandering through my vintage button collection. I chose one metal one and three tiny glass buttons to pair with the beautiful Stamp-It Discovery Wing Composition Stamp {CC/SSS} that includes a portion of the beautiful Emily Dickinson poem Hope is the Thing with Feathers.
Since the theme at Shopping our Stash is Buttons & Bows, I added a bow using one of my favorite May Arts Ribbons from my stash ... the papers are Authentique Classique Elegant Collection (love how each patterned paper has coordinating solid paper on the back including beautiful ombre shaded ones).
