This week's Jingle Belles prompt is the Holly & the Ivy ... create a card that includes some holiday foliage.
I love making paper punched wreaths ... it was the entire reason I purchased this Martha Stewart Punch ... it's therapeutic for me in a way. I punched branches from three different colors of green cardstoc (including some shimmery Core'dinations) and just started assembling.
Once my focal wreath was done, i started pulling together the rest of the design using a Deconstructed Sketch #141. I was going to go for a more traditional bow, but once I pulled the other golden colors into my design ... this one from Oh Deer Me seemed right.
The sentiment is from two different Crafter's Companion Sentimentals ... larger circle from Jingle Bells and the center from Christmas Magic. I finished with some golden yellow pearls.
I'm also joining the Anything Goes Challenge at Addicted to Stamping.
So pull out your holly, your ivy, your evergreen and pine ... and join us at Jingle belles.
You've done a fantastic job of layering those branches. And I really like the gold accents vs traditional red. I have an idea for this one ... need to let it simmer for a while longer. :)
