I took advantage of the 50% off sale at Unity Stamps this weekend to order some of their new releases (which would obviously be perfect for this month's {be inspired} Challenge). But since they haven't arrived yet, I decided to combine both the colors & the card sketch using Unity stamps already in my stash.
I started with sort of that white-grayish color as mmy background using vintage Basic Gray paper. Next I stamped Reversed Punchinella using Red Geranium Archival Ink for the dots down the side of the sketch design.
I embossed the gray-brown strip with a new-to-me Chevron Embossing folder and then started paper piecing my soda pop bottle by stamping it on yellow, detail cutting, and then paper piecing my straw. I used a coordinating Spectrum Noir Marker (BT5) to color the leaves.
I wanted some visual movement along the top of the panel since I didn't have a floral arch like the sketch, so I added some sequined soda pop bubbles floating off the card. I added a final pop of red ot the Never Too Much HAPPY sentiment.
I'm also joining the Anything Goes Challenge at Simon Says Stamp.
super cute! love your placement of the dots :) Thanks so much for joining us at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!!! - Ashli :)
