Usually I have a pretty good idea of what I'm going to make when I start creating ... but sometimes ... like today ... not so much. I started with this week's Freshly Made Sketch because I love little banner flags.
Next I chose a neutral background of leaves from DCWV White Fern Stack and my banners from neutral tones found in the DCWV Tradewinds Mat Stack. At this point the card was feeling pretty serious ... I was thinking masculine birthday or maybe even sympathy. Then when I went rummaging through my stash for something to coordinate with my neutral palette ... I found a sock monkey ... and serious-no-more.
I've been hoarding this cute little 3-D felt sticker for much too long, so I knew he'd found a home. I finished with a thank you sticker and red sequins to liven up the design a bit ... love him ♥.
I'm also joining Anything Goes at Crazy for CAS.
That little sock monkey is adorable! I can understand why you've been hoarding him. Thanks for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!

omg! toooooooo cute and too funny!!! (your "process" on this one sounds eerily like mine MOST of the time, lol!) so are you saying it's *NOT* a sympathy card any more?!??!?! (ps: sequins sooooo totally ROCK this also!)
