Crafter's Companion & Xyron are joining together to celebrate 30 Days of Holiday Gifts. Xyron graciously provided the Crafter's Companion Design Team with some of their great products to use for our projects. Make sure you check out the Crafter's Companion Blog on Friday for a chance to win some goodies.
I was so excited to try the Xyron Create-A-Sticker. I found this tutorial for making a Tissue Paper Background using Xyron & Alcohol Inks and knew I wanted to give it a try using my Spectrum Noir Re-inkers.
I cut a 1/2" piece of white cardstock and ran it through my Create-A-Sticker. Next I adhered a slightly larger piece of tissue paper that had been thoroughly wadded-up repeatedly to create lots of wrinkles.
I inked my felt applicator with four different Spectrum Noir Re-inkers - CT1, CT2, GB5 & JG2 - to create this fun colored background.
I embossed some coordinating gold cardstock with my Regency Swirls Embossing folder & attached it to the front of my card base using Xyron's Mega Runner adhesive. Next I used my Mega Runner to attach my inked tissue paper background. I loved the great size of the applicator ... so easy to handle & control (and it adhered great on top of the embossed texture).
To finish my card design, I used my Xyron Adhesive Dots to adhere some sequin snowflakes to the background ... the 3/16" size is perfect for smaller embellishments.
Here's the finished card, using a sentiment from Crafter's Companion Sentimentals Christmas Magic that I die cut and then edged using my coordinating JG2 Sepctrum Noir Marker.
I used the rest of my tissue paper background to create a few magnets to include with my holiday card (I love little *tuck-in* gifts).
I cut a chipboard coaster into 1 1/2" strips and ran it through my Create-A-Sticker (love how the thicker chipboard went through like a charm).
I trimmed it to 1 1/4" squares and used it to back my tissue paper. Next I added coordinating snowflake sequins with my Xyron Adhesive Dots.
Here they are together.
A huge thanks to Xyron for the chance to use all of these great products for a fun holiday gift.
Neat card! Great colors and I like the wrinkled, inked tissue paper. Thx for sharing the technique. The magnets are a great "gift" to go with the card, as well. Glad to see these Xyron products in use. :)

This card and idea is awesome! I am in LOVE with the colors you used! So nice to see some vibrant and different colors used for holiday card making rather than the traditional colors!
