We're celebrating Sheena's newest release with a fun Crafter's Companion Blog Hop. The new release is called A Little Bit Oriental and features lots of great Asian-themed designs. The collection has four beautiful stamp sets, four 5x7" embossing folder, and a paper pad with 48 sheets of coordinating patterned paper with 16 different designs.
My card is created using stamps from a set called Oriental Silhouette ... I love using Silhouette stamps on designer papers. This card was my first attempt stamping on Tim Holtz Grid Designer Paper.
After stamping I sponged on some Memento Nautical Blue, Paris Dusk & Bamboo Leaves ink for a bit more dimension.
I tried the same design for my second card, this time framing it in black cardstock ... I think the frame really helps make the silhouette designs pop
I just love the pair of cranes in the sky.
Now head on over to the Crafter's Companion Blog for links to all of the Hop Participants ... make sure you leave a comment on each blog ... one commenter will be chosen at random to receive thier choice of one of the new stamp sets.
Oh my, I totally love those cards! You are right, the black frame makes everything pop! I have to try stamping on patterned paper! Thank you for the inspiration!

This is just lovely! I didn't think of using a stamp on patterned paper, but it looks great. Love the colors, too.

A really georgeous card. The tree is a really useful stamp and could be used on all sorts of cards but with the cranes in the background looks so oriental.

Beautiful. In this area we see a lot of geese flying over. this reminds me of them. Great card.
