I still remember the Sunday night when I stumbled across the SplitCoast Stampers Community ... I couldn't believe there were so many people across the globe creating cards. From that moment on, I was no longer creating alone ... I was creating with my new community of friends.
This week at SCS there is a celebration going on ... the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges, only available to Fan Club Members. I wanted to join the fun, so I created this card using multiple challenge ideas.
This card almost went in the trash several times, but I finally rescued it, and actually love the final result ... it was suffering from DTGD Challenge overload. There are so many great challenges ... and so little time left to join the fun, that I was trying to cram way too many challenges into one design.
White Cardstock was sprayed with Mr. Huey's Letter Jacket Color Mist & then two feather's from Sheena's Falling Feathers were stamped in India Ink. The paper was actually the *extra* sprayed part of the page from my first attempt (I always use a full sheet of paper when I'm spraying, just so I have leftovers to play with) ... I love how the ink spray is more concentrated on one side.
The Stamp-It Australia Time in Paris stamp was stamped in India Ink on a scrap of the sprayed paper, die cut, and then sponged with Memento Morocco ink.
I finished with some die cut flowers attached with a brad, orange pearls and a vellum sticker sentiment.
Fabulous card! Way to get dirty. :)

Great card! Like the mist bkgrd and it does look neat that the left side is darker than the right. Cool feather stamp and I love the die cut/stamped layers, too. :)
