This week's theme at Jingle Belles is *Sleigh Bells Ring*, which was suggested by our lovely guest star Jessi Fogan. You may recognize her as part of the design teams at Tuesday Morning Sketches, Drunken Stampers, and Shopping Our Stash! Be sure to check out the gorgeous creations on her blog, One Crafty Mama; you're in for a treat!
We debated for a bit whether the prompt should be to, "Make a card with a sleigh on it" or, "Make a card with bells on it"... the latter encompassing either the real jingly kind, or just the image of a bell. Finally we decided we'd allow *either* (or both?!) of these ideas... and for anyone who finds either of those too challenging, we threw a third possibility, "Make a card using sheet music". So basically, if you cannot find SOMETHING you like in this one, you're just not trying :^)
I decided to go with the sleigh-theme of the prompt by repurposing this great vintage sleigh I found in a box of greeting cards at an estate sale ... I love when I can find a new home for beautiful vintage paper.
All I added was a snowy landscape with ivory cardstock, an SRM Christmas Sticker sentiment ... and a few mists of glitter spray to add some sparkly stars to the night time sky.
And the generous Jessi is sharing a little prize with one lovely prompt participant that includes some of her favorites (seriously ... you *need* her awesome little crocheted mats ... you can see me using one here) ... we hope you'll join our holiday fun.
LOVE that sparkly sky, and omg, that vintage paper is incredible! Thanks so much for having me play along, Stephanie :)
