I had fun making a card for this week's Muse Challenge inspired by this fun & funky design from Laurie Willison.
I wanted to capture the fun colors, embossing & whimsical feel.
My original intention was to go with woodgrain ... but then I saw this fun Mustache Embossing Folder that I had not used yet ... and the design took off from there.
I embossed Core'dinations cardstock & then inked with Wild Honey Distress Ink. I embossed the coordinating comb, cutting it out, sanding & fanning the teeth for a bit of dimension. I finished with a sentiment from The Cat's Pajamas.
This card was also inspired by my handsome brother & his rocking mustache.
Excited to see my Washi Tape Sympathy card won at the Little Tangles Blog ... can't wait to play with my new stamps.
Love the rich colours and textures on your take on Laurie's Muse card, Steph! Thanks so much for playing along!

I love the color combo (my living room accents are orange and turquoise) and the embossing folder is very cool. Another winner!

Thanks for the picture of your brother -- it makes the card that much more fun! And I have to confess, I'm old enough to remember those rat tail combs in bright colors! Fun card!

even though we're only semi-related, i'm super excited to have a moustache like that in the family.
