When I saw this week's Muse Challenge Inspiration, my original intent was to create something traditionally inspired ... I stamped a green flourish ... added a purple flower made from paper ... but when I went to stamp my sentiment ... that's when my Muse inspired me to take a left turn.
I kept coming back to this *You Rock* sentiment from the Big Thanks set by Technique Tuesday ... but when I tried it with my elegant flourish and flower ... it was a big fail.
So that card went into the recycle bin, and I started again ... this time building my card around my rockin' sentiment.
The leaves were replaced with red velvet flourishes that reminded me of the flames on a guitar ... and the bloom was replaced with a puffy turquoise treble cleff ... I added a few velvet dots ... and called it good. This Muse version is *me* and will be a perfect Mother's Day card for a friend.
I'm also joining the 7 or Less Challenge (it's sort of a thank you ... a thank you for being a rockin' mom):
- Black Cardstock
- White Cardstock
- India Ink
- Rockin' Stamp
- Red Velvet Stickers
- Puffy Treble Clef
Such a fun card, the red velvet sticker looks beautiful! Thank you so much for playing along in this 7 or less challenge =)
PS: Make sure to add the 7 or less challenge graphic link to your blogpost, to be entered into the running for the prize.

Uber funky design totally lovin' that flourish, and I'm so glad that you took that 'left turn' it was so worth it.

Very creative, inspired card! You may recall that I have made a lot of rock- themed cards (IC and other SC challenges.) This card is a way cool take on that theme. TFS :)

I always love reading about the creative process people go through when creating their cards. Your new elements are a perfect match with the sentiment.
