One of the things on my to do list for the weekend was to re-stock my sympathy card stash. When I saw that the challenge at the CCEE Stampers blog was to make a CAS Sympathy card, I thought I would give it a try (because we all know CAS looks easy ... but often isn't so easy ... this one took a couple of re-takes before I settled on the design I wanted).
Due to some expert enables (hmmm Amy T) I have quite a few new stamps that haven't seen ink yet, so I decided to use the Tickle My Fancy set from Fresh Squeezed Stamps.
I went with a tall and skinny layout (3 1/2" by 5 1/2") for this week's Long & Short Challenge at CAS-ual Fridays using this week's Retro Sketch. I masked the sympathy area with washi tape and stamped my feathers. Next I stamped my sentiment & scored along the masked lines. Then I added several wraps of Honeydew Twine for this week's Just Us Girls Color Challenge.
I'm also still finding inspiration from this week's SCS Inspiration Challenge ... Sana Designer Ware.

This is beautiful! I love how you separated the sentiment from the feathers with twine.

Love how you created a frame for the sentiment with those lovely delicate feathers, and emphasised it with the twine! Anita :)
