Miss Iowa

Great cards! Lucky you to receive such a gift. Best wishes to your MIL in her new place.

Wonderful way to use the vintage collection your MIL gave you! I'm certain she appreciated this lovely card. The card w/ducks is nice, too. My friend who was in her mid-90s at the time, gifted me a large box of fabrics from the 1800's to the turn of the century. There were many pieces that had been salvaged from hers, her mother's, and her two sister's dresses. I in turn, gave the majority of the fabrics to my step-daughter who was a great seamstress. She designed and hand-crafted fabric art oieces that were exhibited at shows and sold. She gifted us with an amazing primitive Santa doll and a wonderful, primitive-style, gingerbread wall hanging that I still, near 20 yrs later, display at Christmas. I think that it's so wonderful to be able to repurpose and enjoy vintage items and findings. :)
