I'm having more fun this afternoon with the Hard Core Crop Challenges at Core'dination (this card wins the prize for leaving my work table in the biggest state of disarray ... what a die cutting paper mess I now need to clean-up).
This challenge was from Leanne Pierce to create a holiday project using some Core Folded Origami Leaves (pattern is from Bloomize). I did my leaf folding using scraps of purple Core'dinations cardstock on my table (cut into 2" squares before folding) and then built my card around them. I found that using my Scor-It tool helped with some of the folds with the thicker Core'dinations cardstock.
I die cut some Tattered Blooms from a lighter purple Core'dinations Cardstock and embossed them with snowflakes (since I was going for a rather non-traditional holiday design). I added an SRM Noel Sticker to the center of the bloom and another SRM Fancy Sticker Sentiment - Christmas at the top.
I used this week's Basic Grey Sketch for my layout adding several Basic Grey Kioshi papers to my design, as well as Memory Box Elegant Scrollwork cut from more Core'dinations cardstock. I love the finished combination of colors, patterns and textures.
Hello... those leaves are really awesome...thanks for taking part in my challenge! good luck!
