Over at Shopping our Stash they're celebrating Food & Beverages. I knew immediately what I wanted to use ... these fabulous Coffee Shop Stickerz from EAD that I bought weeks ago & have yet to use. I shopped my scrab bin for all of the papers on the card.
I took my card design inspiration from this week's Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger.
I loved the pattern & color of the carpet ... the black in the curtains ... and the round mirror above the mantel that reminded me of my coffee cup lable. I stamped Hero Arts Large Fabric Design in Creamy Brown ColorBox Chalk ink on Ivory cardstock. I punched a white circle behind the label to help it stand out more against the cup.
The layout is this week's Retro Sketches (I love that there are coffee cup stains on the sketch). I cut a strip of a my rejected first attempt at stamping the background and lined it up for the left panel. I added some chocolate pearls to finish the design (to pull out the dark color of the wood floor).
When I was trying to decide on a sentiment, I decided this card would be perfect for one of my Father's Day cards (sentiment is from EAD Designs Got Game) ... let's just hope I remember I already have it made when the holiday rolls around.
perfect! Love what you've done with that stickerz set, which I adore:)

Way to be efficient and combine two challenges. Love how you picked up the damask and the pink from the trigger!

What a wonderful creation from the inspiration piece and sketch. The color are lovely. Any father would love to receive it, as would any coffee drinker. I know I would! I think I need to go shopping for stickers.

Very nice card! I luv the background and good luck with finding your card when Father's Day rolls around. I had that problem back in Feb for a birthday card I had made at the end of Dec. I did find it eventually :)
