Here's another sneak peak of the new Rogue Redhead Designs set Millener Misses using this week's Inspirational Card Sketch.

I love these classy ladies ... and what a perfect sentiment for a girlfriend.

Autumn Misses

I wanted to sneak in a card for this week's Tuesday Trigger Autumn Woods.  I love the blocked design and variation in color in the woodgrain.

I wanted to go with a color-blocked layout, so I used this week's Unscripted Sketch.  To incorporate the woodgrain element, I stamped Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain in Chestnut Roan and Rose Coral on two different pieces of paper from Basic Grey's Out of Print Collection.  Basic Grey is celebrating stamping this week, and I love the look of stamping on designer paper.

The main image is a sneak peak from a soon-to-be-released set from Rogue Redhead Designs called Milliner Misses.  It was stamped in brown on another piece of Out of Print DP.  I used colored pencils to add color spotlights to the design.

I love how the woodgrain frames the classy ladies, so I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card.

Cars Cards

I picked-up a group of stickers at Big Lots that included several sets of EK Success Dimensional Stickers from the movie Cars.  Since I have nephews who love the movie, I knew they would be fun for some little guy cards.

The first features Sarge with this week's CPS Sketch.  Papers are Get Happy from Cosmo Cricket, one of my all-time favorite lines for masculine designs.  At The Lily Pad they're celebrating texture, which works great with these dimensional stickers.  I also added embossed gears for a bit more texture in the design. 

A wrap of twine & an EAD Designs *dude* rub-on and this one was finished.

This one uses this week's Freshly Made Sketch together with more Get Happy Papers.  I added more embossed gear together wtih Hudson Hornet stickers.  I used a die cut panel behind my car for the Die Cut Challenge at Card Makin' Mamas.  These cards are also perfect for the *No Girls Allowed* Challenge at Moving Along with the Times.

Masculine Birthday Cards

My stash of masculine birthday cards is depleted, so tonight, I pulled out some kraft cardstock and put a few together.

The first uses this week's Twisted Sketch with a *twist* to use black.  I punched a Bangle Chain Border from black cardstock & layered it over strips of cardstock.

I also added some decorative brads for this week's Brads, Buttons or Bows Challenge at Wee Memories.  Sentiment is an EAD Designs Rub-on.

The next card uses this week's CAS-ual Friday Sketch combined with the Die Cuts Color Challenge at Embellish Magazine.

Hero Arts Time Flies Background was stamped in Creamy Brown ink for the background.  

I used a die cut for my sentiment background topped with an EAD Designs Stickerz Sentiment (perfect for 1" circles).  An SRM Sticker sentiment completes the design.

 

Western Wedding

A friend asked if I could make a card for a Western-themed Wedding.  She said the wedding invitations had been made from kraft paper, so that is what I used as the starting point for my design.

I started by stamping these fun itty bitty unity Brave Boots in brown ink on a post-it note.  Then I inked the boots again with Berrylicious Chalk Ink without cleaning the stamp (to get that sort of dirty-leather look I wanted).  I cut out the boots from the post-it note to use as a mask before stamping a second image of the boots in brown.

Basic Grey is celebrating stamping this week, so I used Basic Grey Batik paper from their Out of Print collection for my background with Nina B's Sketch from The Lily Pad ... it reminded me of a modern bandanna print.

I punched a two hearts (the pink one is from a leftover stamped boot) and added a sentiment & wrap of my husband's baling twine from the garage, because I loved the rustic texture & feel with the western-themed design.

23.  Hands down, it's the turning of the foliage. Breathtaking and it all ends way too soon.

51.  You are so sweet! I'm inspired to do some cleaning in my stamp room, but intrigued to know what goodies the boxes contain. Autumn is my FAVORITE season. I live in MN and am blessed to see a glorious change of colors in the foliage. My hubby and I try to get away every fall for a mini road trip just to see the colors and spend time together. I look forward to it every year.

50th Wedding Anniversary

Tonight I needed a 50th Anniversary Card, so I started by going through all of my specialty papers looking for pieces of gold.  I combined a wrinked gold paper with a natural fiber paper with gold threads.

Elegant Stamps Happen sentiment was stamped in Versamark & embossed with gold detail powder.  I used this week's Deconstructed Sketch for a clean layout adding metallic brown ribbon and several gold pearls to complete the design.

Not a *Creature* Was Stirring

... not even penguin and his friend bird.  

This week at Jingle Belles we're celebrating creatures ... it could be an animal, a bug, a rodent ... or even a monstah or robot ... just have fun with it.

I went with happy little creatures & papers from Echo Park's Everybody Loves Christmas.   I added a wrap of red sparkling ribbon and a EAD Designs Stickerz sentiment to complete the design with October's Sketch for You to Try.

I'm also playing along with the Jingle All The Way to Christmas Challenge at The Ribbon Girl.

The final challenge for Poe Month at Gingersnap Creations is the Color Challenge ... and they're asking us to create using only Grey & Black.  

I masked my moon and then used a variety of grey inks to color my background.  I removed the mask and added a bit of orange & yellow ink for an eerie evening glow.

I picked-up this black laster-cut Mrs. Grossman's sticker at Kate's Paperie in NYC ... I love how it looks like a creepy night-time shadow.
