My card for this week's SCS Inspiration Challenge was inspired by this Avalisa Cat Face Print from 2Modern.
I stamped Magenta Cat Face in Ranger Archival Deep Purple.
I pulled in the chartreuse from the chairs using this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch ... sentiment is an SRM Sticker. I added some green to his eyes with colored pencil.

One of my favorite themes for holiday cards is Peace ... in the middle of the hustle & bustle of the holidays, I am always trying to focus and find Peace. So, our prompt theme at Jingle Belles this week is Peace ... incorporate a Peace Symbol or the word Peace into your design ... or create a card that evokes Peace for you (snow, forest, etc.).
I started with good white cardstock and four colors of Distress Inks (two blue - two purple). Next I rounded-up small snowflakes from Hero Arts Holiday Cheer & Snowflakes.
I used a pencil & roll of tape (as my pattern for the shape) and drew a very light circle. Next, I started with the larger snowflakes positioning them around the circle & then added the smaller snowflakes to fill in space. I primarily used the small snowflakes to create the peace sign in the middle.
I finished with a {peace on earth} sentiment from CatsLife Press.
It's also an Anything Goes theme at the Simon Says Stamp blog this week trying to reach 1,000 entries.

As we continue to celebrate Friendship at Gingersnap Creations this month, I got to work with more images provided by Viva Las Vegas. This month's Color Challenge is Turquoise, Blue & Purple ... some of my favorite hues.

I was limited to a quick card tonight, so I pulled out my new Authentique Glowing Collection and embellishments together with this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.
There was some orange tint to the spider web paper, but I added more with some Rusty Hinge Distress Ink ... a few punched bats, and it was finished.
Simon Says Stamp is celebrating Men Only! Cards this week. For mine, I combined images from Artistic Outpost's Apothecary & Typography Sets.
I cut the globe apart from the sentiment, so I could stamp it repeatedly on 7Gypsies postcard paper to create my globe-hopping background.
The sentiment was positioned inside of the Prescription from Apothecary. I finished with a few wraps of chocolate baker's twine & attached the Presscription with foam tape for dimension.

I needed a group card to include with a donation to a Western-themed cancer benefit for a man. I wanted to stay with the Western-theme for my card.
I used a digital vintage Rodeo image from Graphics Fairy and changed the color to dark brown in Photoshop Elements. I used a Western Font to generate my sentiment.
Papers are Cosmo Cricket. I added Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain to the angled pieces. The sketch is the Tuesday Sketch from Skipping Stones Designs.
When my prize package arrived for my sketch card win at the Authentique blog, she included four sheets of the brand-spanking-new Free Bird Fair-Weather Collection ... 6" papers they will be selling by the individual sheet ... so of course I had to play.
I found a few Sketch Challenges, pulled out my EAD Designs stickerz, and spent some time playing.
The first one uses a sketch from WHAT IF? Wednesday which is sponsored by Repeat Impressions Stamps ... I found several stamps at their store I've added to my wish list like Courage Is, Cardinal Post, & Party Dog.
I stamped the background with Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain in Aquamarine, to pull in the slightly darker color of my chair & sentiment. The Chair & Sentiment are EAD Designs Sweet Nothings Rub-ons in Teal. The chair looked kind of empty, so I added the cat from EAD's Smurf Village.
The next card uses a sketch from Let's Capture These Sketches.
The Balloon & Birthday Sentiment are from EAD Designs Fly Away with Me. The balloon sticker was adhered to the extra scrap of the background paper and then cut out. I added the oh-so-versatile birds from Rogue Redhead Designs' Beach Babes to my sky.
This week's SCS Inspiration Challenges comes from the wonderful Inspiration Daily entries from Creature Comforts. I chose this wonderful picture & color palette from 06-14-11 to inspire my design.
I loved the muted yellow and brown tones, together with the idea of the music of the sea inside a sea shell.
I used beautiful new Lost & Found Sunshine papers from My Mind's Eye together with stamps from Rogue Redhead Designs' Beach Babes & Relish Reading plates ... I love that quote ... such a great reminder of the things we miss out on if we stay too close to the shore.
My card is also for the CAS-ual Friday Challenge to make a Monochromatic Card with three shades of one color (in my case yellow) + brown.
