Tonight I decided I wanted to make a card for Kim Hughes' Paper Smooches Spark Challenge ... just one problem. In the great studio reorganization of 2011 I managed to misplace not one ... not two ... but three unopened Paper Smooches Stamp Sets.
After a half an hour of searching with no success, I decided to give up (for now) and make a card using Kim's Cornish Heritage Farm set Little Boy.
I combined one of her sketches with one of her color combinations (navy, kraft, sky blue, and orange).
When I was looking at all of the characters in this set, I kept seeing them piled on top of each other, so that's what I did. I initially stamped them both on the sky blue background, and then in a flash of momentary weakness (do you see the detail on that little guy??), I decided my alien needed to be paper-pieced in orange. I added some orange gems to my monsta and called it good.
It will be a great boy card to have in my stash ... now off to go look for those missing stamps.
That is super cool!
