The December theme at Gingersnap Creations is The Great White North. We're starting the month with our Chestnut Theme Challenge featuring Snow People.
I live in Cedar Rapids, the boyhood home of Grant Wood. His paintings feature Iowa landscapes that I find both familiar and comforting. Images of his American Gothic decorate the downtown area where I work, so needless to say, when I saw these adorable American Gothic Snow People from Sparkle N Sprinkle on Judy's blog, I had to add them to my collection.
They were stamped in India ink, clear embossed, and colored with pencils. I added a Hero Arts Snow Sentiment (LL217) stamped in dark brown & clear embossed on a pre-made textured card from The Paper Studio covered in script handwriting for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges theme to use script in your design.
OMgosh Steph...this image just cracked me up! What a funny take on Grant Wood's painting. Such a fun way to send holiday greetings. Well done!
