This card features the wonderful Scarecrow Image from the new Oz Collage set by Artistic Outpost ... such nostalgic memories for me. It also works for Sue's 52-Card Pick-up theme this week, which is Empathy. The post she referenced claims that everything we do, we do to accomplish one of two things ~ to feel safe or to matter.
I think that's what each of the characters was searching for in the Wizard of Oz. The Scarecrow felt like in order to matter, he needed a brain. I feel that way some days too ... that if I could only do a bit more or know a bit more, I would matter more. Unfortunately, no matter how much you know ... there's always more to learn.
For this card, I stamped him in Pumpkin Spice ColorBox Chalk ink and colored him with Prismacolor Pencils, which also works for the Drunken Stampers Before Copics Challenge (since I don't even own any Copics ... I still love my pencils. I was so excited to use the 50% off Halloween Coupon from Michael's to upgrade my pencil stash selection this weekend).
Papers are 7 Gypsies Venice Collection.

You have such an excellent eye for mixing patterns/colors! Great card... I'm another one who loves pencils, although I don't use them nearly often enough! Now that I know about using blender pens (Copic or Prismacolor) with them instead of mineral spirits, I'll probably use them more often. Thanks for joining my challenge again this week!
