This week's SCS Inspiration Challenge comes from the fabulous Turkish store, Studio Nommo. At Studio Nommo they love empty walls because they create amazing wallpaper and decals to fill up the empty space.
My inspiration came from this amazing wallpaper called Pillow Fight. I incorporated the colors, floating feathers, and even the square and rectangular shapes of the pillow and bench into my design.
My feather stamp was hand-carved by the amazing Gina of Tyggereye Art Love (you can check out all of her cool hand-carved designs in her Etsy store). I stamped it multiple times in Versamark on white cardstock & clear embossed.
Next, I sponged on ColorBox Chalk Ocean ink to get the variation of deep blue I wanted for my background. I used a baby wipe to remove the ink from the stamped images, but they were still a little bluer than I wanted, so I sprayed some stamp cleaner on the baby wipe, and that did the trick. I matted my background on a Chocolate Truffle card base.
I stamped a bird from Inkadinkado's Butterflies & Birds twice in the same Ocean ink & a sentiment form Stampin' Up's Define Your Life. Each is matted with the same Chocolate Truffle cardstock & attached with foam tape for dimension.
I hope you find inspiration.
Love how you interpreted this wallpaper (which has such a darling name!). Great look!
