Artistic Outpost is sponsoring this week's Play Date Cafe Challenge & the winner will be receiving a $14 gift certificate from Artistic Outpost.
I love purple, however I often find it to be one of the most difficult colors to design with with ... especially when I'm trying to combine multiple shades (not all purples are in the same color family, that's for sure). I wish more companies made great purple designer papers ... and I'd love to find a good "grape" purple ink.
For my card, I used a variety of scraps of designer paper from my stash including some Memory Box & Basic Grey papers. I combined Artistic Outpost's Summer House image from the Keeper Plate with a sentiment from the Thai Buddha plate.
The house is stamped in blackberry ink and then I used lime colored pencil and lime Spica glitter marker to color in the grass. I finished with some Hero Arts lime adhesive pearls on the corners of the sentiment.
The sketch is this week's Friday Sketchers.
Well you certainly got purple to work for you here Stephanie, it's a fab card :)

Lovely card - the house looks wonderful in purple, as well as the DP you added. Happy to have AO's team play along with this weeks challenge.

oof! i totally hear ya on the subject of purples! i totally found this out last year when niece lindsay switched her color allegiance from pink to purple! (all i can say is...go "purple shopping" around halloween; the backs & coordinating papers from a bunch of the holiday lines are nice purple prints or purple-friendly contrasts!)
of course having said all that, i would NEVER have guessed from this lovely card that you had ANY trouble pulling it together, it looks both amazing and effortless!!!!! ♥♥♥
