Did you ever receive a gift that was so thoughtful ... so touching ... so perfect ... that it reduced you to tears? Yeah, that's pretty much what happened to me when I opened the package that contained this amazing digital scrapbook.
When Lauren & I were planning our NYC adventure, I found a couple of chipboard apple albums in the $1 bin at Michael's. I snatched them up, because I thought they would be a fun way to create a a mini-scrapbook to document our trip. Never in a million years did I imagine that humble chipboard album would morph into this gorgeous, memory-filled creation.
Lauren took our photos from the trip, worked her digi-magic, and threw in a few bits of bling and a vintage subway map. This photo (and experience) was one of my favorites. There was something very special about finally seeing this Icon in person.
She added a fabulous mix of quotes about NYC to each page.
The surprise police department parade was another highlight of the trip ... as well as the joy of spying perfect shots like the reflection of the empire state building in this wall of windows.
I love how the different colors of flourishes tie everything together.
And this nighttime image from Top of the Rock was one of my favorites ... I love the glow of Times Square from above.
Thanks again my friend for sharing this experience with me ... and giving me a memento that keeps those memories fresh-at-hand.
oof you are SOOOOOOO VERY WELCOME!!! ♥♥♥♥♥ i had so much fun making this and i really learned A LOT about shaped albums! :) (plus it was just so much fun to play with those photos again and think about what a completely amazing trip we had!!!) ♥♥♥♥♥
