I'm usually not a big fan of what I call "cutesy" stamps, but this adorable Pure Innocence Stamp from My Favorite Things won my heart. This line of stamps reminds me of my nieces ... and of my own childhood. I loved swinging as a child (and still do) ... there was nothing better than seeing how high I could go and then jumping out and flying through the air (however, I no longer jump out of my swing or fly through the air ... but I still say Whee).
I combined this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch with papers from Basic Grey Green at Heart. I paper pieced her dress & shoes from the same designer paper as the background. I stamped the tree portion of the image twice on green cardstock and layered the pieces to fill in the space to the edge of the oval frame. I added some Prismacolor coloring and shading to the image and a Queen & Company Flower jewel to adorn her hair.
I cut the sentiment apart (easy to do with clear stamps), so I could position it around the oval. I curved it slightly on the stamping block before inking.
Happy Hump Day!
Beautiful Stephanie. Love that cute image and that adorable paper.
