This week's SCS Inspiration Challenge comes from the fabulous colors and design of Echo. The colors of these fabulous Wood Cashmere Ruffle Gloves are echoed throughout my studio, so it was no surprise that is where I found my inspiration. I was inspired by the vibrant color combination and the tiny accent of ruffle.
I started by crimping strips of paper and layering them on the front of my card. The crimped texture reminded me of the ruffles.
I finished the design with a tiny A Muse birthday sentiment and Martha Stewart Pop-Up Water Lilies punched from crimped paper scraps. I tried alternating sides like it was in the picture, but it didn't seem to work with the card design. I finally settled on one side of the card & used Silver Half-Beads from Michael's Recollection collection to finish the design.
I hope you find inspiration.
Very clever Stephanie... the corrugated strips look stripes look so good in those wonderfully bright colours. Lovely design.
