I've always been one to judge books by their covers. Sometimes I love the book cover more than the book itself.
To honor the tradition of great Summer reads, this week's SCS Inspiration Challenge is to create a card inspired by a favorite book cover. I found a wonderful Book Cover Archive to provide inspiration. My card is inspired by the cover of The Ecco Book of Christmas Stories.
I created my holiday tree design using word stickers from 7 Gypsies. I also liked the look of the white-on-red title at the bottom of the cover, so I stamped by SU Heard from the Heart Sentiment with PTI Fresh Snow ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I finished with a star punched from silver metallic paper and some adhesive silver balls to accent the tree.
I hope you find inspiration.
Very cool card. I really love this one!
