There is a great sketch this week at the BasicGrey Challenge Blog. Lots of fun layers ... perfect for featuring the fabulous papers of BasicGrey. While their patterned paper is always wonderful, it's the solid colors that win my heart. I love the shading and distressing that add the perfect visual interest, especially for flat mailable cards like this one.
My design featured three different solids and one patterned paper from the Bittersweet collection. This Dimensional Heart from Rubber Nature ArtStamps was one of the very first rubber stamps I bought. I saw their tool stamp technique on the Carol Duval Show and wanted to give it a try. Tonight I kissed the heart with CHF lace backgrounder, but it is only clearly discernible at the top of the heart. I finished with ahe fun sentiment is from Inkadinkado, Martha Stewart lacy border punch, and some touches of tiny bling.
Stunning card and great take on Martine's sketch. Love the colours and papers you've used, super Valentine card.
Thanks for joining us at Basic Grey.

Hi Steph, I love your card and that huge heart is fabulous! I can see where you did the kiss technique and it's such a great effect. Love that Bittersweet paper too. Chris :-)
