I finally got around to spending the $10 gift certificate I won for the Beary Box Sketch Challenge to get some cool papers from Sassafras (these papers are from the Sunshine Lollipops Wee Bundle).
The card is for this week's challenge at the Hero Arts Blog to create a non-Valentine card featuring hearts.
I stamped the Little Sketch Hearts in black and cut them out. The From the Heart Greetings Sentiment was stamped on on the same polka dot paper and punched with an EKSuccess Heart punch. The Wavy Designer Heart Border was stamped on the banner.
I punched holes in each heart and threaded CTMH waxed pink floss through, so that the hearts could hang from the banner and not have to be attached to the card base. I think this card would work for any heartfelt occasion ... birthday, thanks ... or just because.
I think this card also works for Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge this week ... to make a card with a modern edge ... the clean lines, graphic hearts, and bright colors say modern to me.
I would never have combined yellow and read, but you've created a wonderful card, definitely modern - very well done!
