I took a vacation day today to whittle away at my holiday to do list. I had to take my beloved Canon Rebel to the camera hospital for an overnight stay. I sure hope they can figure out the problem and get it back to my quickly ... I sort of feel like I lost an appendage (and I can really tell a difference in the picture quality with my back-up camera). I went to the gym & got most of my cards and gifts in the mail. Overall, a productive day for me with some time left to play ... a great day in my book.
I decided to use the two sketches at 2 Sketches 4 You to finish a couple more holiday cards. I really loved the long lean design of Kazan's layout (my layout is 4" x 6").
I can't seem to put the Core'dinations cardstockaway. I truly have fallen in love. The raspberry panel was embossed with the cuttlebug snowflakes and sanded. Penny Black Give Share Love was stamped in ColorBox Chalk Maroon and clear embossed. I finished with Stampin' Up Basic Grey taffeta ribbon, a Martha Stewart punched snowflake and some adhesive bling.
The second card uses Heidi's Bonus Sketch. The Hero Arts Season's Greetings Holiday Collage was stamped in Maroon and clear embossed.
I cut strips of sheet music and folded them to created a pleated design along the bottom of the panel. Velvet rick-rack, touches of Sakura sparkle pen, and a sentiment from Catslife Press were the finishing touches.
Thanks ladies for more fabulous sketches and inspiration.
Wow Stef you really outdid yourself! This card is simply beautiful:) Kazan took a little trip to the mountains so I am here to fill in! Kazan will love this card too:)
