I needed a masculine birthday card for a fisherman in my life. I picked up this Jolee's tackle box on clearance during some of my travels. I used the colors from the tackle box to determine the color combination in my design.
The background cardstock is from a Martha Stewart Halloween mat stack I found on clearance after the holidays. I love being able to use 'holiday' papers on non-holiday cards. I thought it looked like grasses in the water or maybe a fishing net. The green bubble paper scrap also had a watery feel.
I finished with white foam Thickers and Karen Foster Rub-its (I used more of the Rub-its on last year's fishing themed card). Since the patterned paper didn't provide quite enough clear contrast to the cut-out letters in the fish, I colored them in with blue and green glitter pens.
Don't forget, you have until midnight November 18th to upload your Chocolate creations at Caardvarks for a chance to win a Scor-It Mini. Also, you have until 8am on Saturday the 15th to leave a comment for the I-squared Inspiration Giveaway .
