Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge this week is Take Two - to choose one of your favorite cards in our gallery and re-make it using your own design as inspiration.
I chose this card from April 2007 using the SCS Sketch challenge & a limited supply challenge to have a verse be the primary focus of your design. I have quite a few vertical sentiments and this sketch is perfect to feature them. I also loved how the different Basic Gray Scarlet's Letter papers worked together.
I decided to stick with Basic Grey papers, but use the Sultry collection.
I also changed the vertical sentiment to one of my favorites from Stampers Anonymous and replaced one of the flowers with some punched leaves. I used the Forest Branches embossing folder on the brown DP and sponged it rather than sanding.
That was so fun, I may have to do another. Thanks Sharon for the Take Two walk down memory lane.
Oh gosh, these are both just wonderful cards!!! I love each of them equally!!! Love the vertical sentiments on both of them and great embossing and flowers on each of them as well!!! Great challenge cards!!! So glad you could play -- thanks much!!!
