I just finished reading Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six Word Memoirs by Writers Famous & Obscure and I loved it. I'm still working on my own six word memoir, but one of the first ones that came to me was "She wanted to change the world."
You can submit your own six word memoir on the Smith Magazine website.
Some of my favorites from the book are:
- She read too much ... into everything. ~ Jessica Reed
- My second grade teacher was right. ~ Janelle Brown
- Never liked the taste of beets. ~ Michael Pemberton
- Found great happiness in insignificant details. ~ Alisdair McDiarmid
- Never really finished anything, except cake. ~ Carletta Perkins
Thanks for this! I just submitted mine :) feels strange putting it up there... but is how I feel :)
