I love the challenges on the Hero Arts blog each week, but this is the first time I've decided to join in the fun. This week's challenges are sketches, which are my favorites, so I had to play.
I decided to use today's sketch because I loved the possibility of using all sort of fun little elements in the design.
I also decided to do the Share Your Spark Friday Challenge to make a Halloween card ... even though I really don't own any Hero Arts Halloween stamps (hey, it's supposed to be a challenge right?). I really wanted to incorporate some of my new Martha Stewart Halloween punches into the design as well.
I decided that the Hero Arts star tree sort of looked like a Halloween tree when stamped in black and clear-embossed on orange Rubber Soul Hoop*La DP.
I added the punched fence and witch, and then went searching for a Hero Arts sentiment. When I saw "you & me" in From the Heart Greetings, I started giggling to myself (nothing is better than amusing myself with my own creations).
I added a second punched witch and an inside sentiment that says "If the Broom Fits ... Ride It."
I have several girlfriends who will get a kick out of this one for Halloween.
What a great way to use the fence punch! Adorable card!
Thanks so much for playing along this week and "sharing your spark!"

Oh my gosh I absolutely love this card!! My mother-in-law and I have a very close relationship (I know I am VERY lucky)and we're always joking around with each other about riding on our broomsticks. I think I might just have to go shopping to get the ingredients for this card!

If the broom fits...Heehee. Mine fits. Though I'd prefer to ride the vacuum. (Like the Wednesday Witch, LOL) I love the colours and those dots. WAY cute! :O)
