With the help of today's Featured Stamper Shellapoo, I made another dent in my 2008 holiday card stash.
I was inspired by her Blue Cat Blues card. As I spent time going through her wonderful gallery (she stamps tons of cards for children), I saw that she loves the emboss resist technique, so I used that for my background. I stamped the SU Dotted background in Versamark and clear embossed on textured light blue cardstock. I sponged over the embossing with ColorBox Chalk Azurite and Blue Lagoon blue inks.
The cardstock and strips of silver DP are both from a new mat stack by SEI called Poppy. I had to use a circle punch on the corners (rather than my ticket corner punch) to accommodate my large silver brads.
The Stampendous Peace Window highlighted with a Sakura sparkle pen and I outlined the Giga Scallop oval with a silver paint pen for a bit more contrast.
Thanks Shellapoo for all you do ... and for the wonderful inspiration.
I have to be feeling the Christmas spirit after the cards you have shared lately. By the way, I gave you a gold card award over at my Blog. Off to pick out a Michelle card to case now.
