This card combines three challenges - today's SCS Limited Supply Challenge to use knots; notimetostamp's Stamp Simply challenge to Go Bold!; and Beate's Weekend Sketch (love those repeating shapes). Since bold is pretty much my norm (prime example yesterday's holiday card), I decided to go REALLY bold for this one.
All papers (except the white cardstock) are from Marcella by K's Birthday Mat Deck ... pretty bold stuff. I wanted to use an equally bold image, so I chose this flower from Stampin' Up's Happiest of Holidays. I know it's supposed to be a poinsettia, but I think in these bright colors, it works as an 'everyday' bloom. I highlighted the 'berries' with Purple Spica Glitter pen for a bit more bold glitz.
I love tying knots with my ribbon ... this design was the perfect way to use up a tiny bit of ribbon at the bottom of my ribbon drawer.
Thanks ladies for the inspiration.
And don't forget, you have until June 15th to link up your great drink-themed card at Caard{varks}. Check out the amazing gallery.
BOLD it is -- what a great card!!! And, YES, that poinsettia stamp is perfect in this situation -- great use of a holiday stamp -- way to go!!! Love this and am so glad you got to play -- and a triple yet to boot!!! LOL!!!

Very Bold and I love it. I think the graduated sizes make it work so that it is not overwhelming. Beautiful.

Thanks Steph for your comment on my blog. Appreciate it!! I love this card! It is so striking! Just gorgeous! Hope you are doing well with all the flooding there. I am originally from Iowa and remember the floods 15 years ago.

Hi Stef!
Thanks for your great comment on my anniversary card today! I love the first of your suggestions and will use it!
I see you're from Cedar Rapids...I have a brother who lives there also. I'm hoping that yo're far enough away from the flooding to stay in your home. Take care!
