I think my mojo has gone on hiatus. Not only have I not had a desire to be in my studio this weekend, when I did spend time in there, my creative juices just weren't flowing. I know there's a normal ebb and flow with all things in life, so I focused on organizing, mounting new rubber and catching up on blog reading. I did want to get at least one card done tonight, so I chose to combine the new sketch from CPS and Sharon's Stamp Simply Purse Challenge.
To create my scalloped square, I started in the middle of one side of a 6x6" piece of Memories Funky Vintage Ruby Collection Mini Dot DP. I punched all the way down one side. I then measured at the end of several scallops, finally deciding on a 4 1/4" square size. I punched down the second side and trimmed it before finishing the other two sides.
After I finished all of that punching, I realized there was no way I was going to do that again for my card base. So to get around that, I cut a 4" square card base and let the scallop hang over on all four sides.
I've had this purse stamp from Make an Impression for a long time (I no longer see it in their catalog). I love how one of the things she's tossing from her purse is a rubber stamp.
I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils. The sentiment is a set by Stampin' Up called Edgy Eloquence stamped in Aquamarine ColorBox Chalk.
Here's hoping my mojo returns on Monday.
Surely doesn't look like any mojo is missing to me!!! This is wonderful!!! I have never seen that fun image before, and your SU sentiment goes so well with it!!! Wonderful colors -- just love that blue/green!!! Fabulous job -- so glad you played!!! Thanks much!!!

Ok, this card made me giggle because not a day goes by that I don't dump my purse looking for the very thing in the bottom! This is hysterical! Such a cute card!
