This week's inspiration piece was suggested by Stampin' Annie ... a soft, peaceful blue bedroom from the Thomas Benton Grey House Bed & Breakfast in New Salem, Illinois.
I took my inspiration from the framed lace hearts above the bed and the overall color palette of the room.
I started with this kraft paper lace that I've had in my stash for some time. I sprayed it with Blue Hawaiian Memories Mist. After it dried (I used my heat gun to speed up the process), I sprayed a light coat of Krylon Glitter spray for a little sparkle. I used Elmer's Spray adhesive to attach the dyed paper lace to a strip of white cardstock.
I love how the white paper really brings out the designs in the lace. I left a white frame around the card to mimic the white frames in the inspiration room. The Impression Obsession Sympathy Sentiment was stamped in white pigment ink and embossed.
I hope you find some inspiration.
