Shelly (aka papermoon04) is the featured stamper today at SCS. Since I already had paint chips out on my work area, I decided to take my inspiration from her Paint Chip Thanks.
Sometimes it's tricky to get just the right color of ink. Today I inked my Fancy Pants image with ColorBox Chalk Warm Red, stamped off once, and then inked it again with Blush Rose. The ink didn't dry on the glossy paint chip, so I embossed with clear EP.
I stamped the Fancy Pants sentiment using the same inking method on glossy cardstock. However, the way it embossed is one of those happy accidents. The embossing powder only stuck to a portion of the image, so when I heated it, it produced a tone-on-tone effect that mimicked the paint chip. I love when things work out in ways I didn't plan.
This card also works for the Saturday Stampers tone-on-tone challenge. Enjoy the day.
This is great - I love the swirls and the colours - fantastic !
