I love little boxes, and these origami boxes are so fun and easy to make.
I followed Jen Balcer's origami box tutorial posted as part of the Holiday Tutorial Blitz at SCS.
I started with two pieces of My Mind's Eye Tres Jolie two-sided cardstock. I discovered after completing the box that there is no reason to use two-sided cardstock because only one side is visible when it is complete.
I used my Scor-it to make most of the folds, which keeps things sharp and reduces the likelihood of the cardstock splitting (especially when using patterns).
When the box was finished, I lined it with tissue paper and wrapped up a fun necklace I purchased on etsy from Analiese Designs. It's part of my quest to give more hand-made gifts this year.
The charm is a bottle-cap sticker matted on two circles of cardstock. I tied on some soft ribbon and used silver cord to attach the charm. Another holiday gift ready to go.
These came out really nice, I think I might have give it a try!
