My card for this week's Retro Sketch combines stamps from Rogue Redhead Designs with papers from Webster's Pages.
The polka dot background paper was stamped in grey with the Ledger from Relish Reading to repeat the soft texty look of the seed packet. The Congratulations sentiment is from Bits & Pieces.
I embellished with grey linen twine and two colors of yellow pearls.
The current Rebel Challenge at Rogue Redhead Designs is to celebrate the colors of Spring Fashion.
I combined adorned the Milliner Misses in neutral tones (Driftwood & Starfish) with a pop of Tangerine Tango using My Mind's Eye Paris & Co Papers and this week's CardPatterns Sketch.
I flipped the sketch and added a wrap of bronze chocolate ribbon and two brads to complete the layout.
This morning SCS Featured Stamper is the talented Karen Haman ... she was the original hostess of the SCS Inspiration Challenge and one of the people who really pushed me to explore my creative styles.
I chose her Razzleberry Roses as my inspiration. I changed the color to Cabaret, one of Pantone's Spring Fashion hues ... which is the Rebel Challenge at Rogue Redhead Designs.
I used a flower from Rogue Redhead's Floriculture and a sentiment from Bits & Pieces.
The cardstock frame and a few adhesive pearls add a finishing pop of color. Thanks for the inspiration Kathy.

To celebrate my awesome new Design Team gig, I combined it with this week's Unscripted Sketch (flipped) and the oh-so-versatile flower from Rogue Redhead Designs' Just Sayin' Plate. I stamped the flower on houndstooth DP and again on golden metallic paper with a chocolate pearl in the center. I added a houndstooth butterfly to complete the card (and create a triangle in the design).

My pattern & image are both from Rogue Redhead Designs' Just Sayin' together with a sentiment from Bits & PIeces. I stamped the flower on ivory handmade paper and then again on green to cut-out the center before adding an ivory adhesive pearl.
I'm also joining Crazy for Challenges where they're celebrating GREEN.
This card is for the March Sketch Challenge at the Authentique Blog. I combined papers & trims from their Uncommon Collection with the Milliner Misses from Rogue Redhead Designs.
I snipped through a scalloped border to create a pennant & added some tiny butterflies to embellish the Misses' hats.
I love the sweet little kitty cat in the Rogue Redhead Designs' Just Sayin' stamp set. I stamped him in charcoal on a scrap of gridded DP, cut him out, colored him with a sketch pencil & attached him with tiny bits of foam tape for dimension.
The layout is from a new sketch blog called iSpy Sketches ... all papers are Authentique's Journey Collection.
Remember, you have until March 4th to join the Rebel Challenge to stamp your own background paper. I used the three block grid from Just Sayin' in grey ink on gridded designer paper to create my fun modern background.
i finished with some charcoal ink sponging around the edges, a grey scalloped border, a wrap of grey ribbon, and two word tiles.
The Random Redhead Challenge at Gingersnap Creations is to create a project using a faux technique. Since I had so much fun with masking tape last week, I decided to use it again to create a faux leather background.
I sponged ink onto green Tim Holtz DP and then die cut my leather label to form the background for my lonely little cat.
Our Challenge is again sponsored by Rogue Redhead Design ... I used the cat from Just Sayin' and the sentiment from Relish Reading. For the circle backing my sentiment, I added a second layer of ink and embossing powder to create a darker leather finish.
This month's Rebel Challenge at Rogue Redhead Designs is to create a stamped background. I combined three different stamps for my background using the colors of this week's Play Date Cafe.
I stamped the flower from RRD's Just Sayin' in gold, the sandy background from RRD's Beach Babes in medium blue & the block design from RRD's Floriculture in royal blue to create my stamped background.
The main panel image & sentiment are from RRD's Relish Reading. I finished with some tiny gem-embellished butterflies using CPS Sketch #5 for their Anniversary Celebration.
This month's Spicy Supply Challenge at Gingersnap Creations is to use Masking Tape ... and our sponsor is Rogue Redhead Designs. I used their new set Mardi Gras for my card.
I adhered long strips of masking tape to my craft sheet & then stamped beads with India ink. I then carefully adhered the tape to my Basic Grey Sweet Threads paper, so I could dry the ink with a heat gun.
I stamped my crown twice on two pieces of DP and then paper pieced the orange pieces on top. I used an orange glittery pen to add more color and sparkle to the design.
There are lots of possibilities for Masking Tape design ... can't wait to see what you try.
