Some of my favorite Instagram photos from our New Mexico Trip thus far.

Last night we dined at the Marble Brewery which had delicious pizza (Canadian Bacon, Roasted Pineapple & Goat heese for me) and a wonderful downtown view from the rooftop dining.

There were garlands of dried marigolds along the gallery walk in Taos ... love those colors.

This photo was from the outdoor garden at the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts ... love all of the wonderful orange hues.

A quote on the wall of the Farmer's Market ... love the handwritten font & the message.

And a photo from the Art in the Age of Truthiness exhibit at the SITE Museum.

And of course the required self-photo every time we encounter a cool mirror ... this one was at a store in Taos.

Saturday PhotoHunt ... Hand

I had fun going through my photos for hand pictures this morning  for the Saturday PhotoHunt... this goofy one was taken on our trip to Toronto ... my hubby always looking for a silly shot.

 

These hands enjoying delicious BBQ Ribs ... with lots of fresh wipes on the side.

And these hands giving a big thumbs-up with a Vampire (see the whole "Two Thumbs* post here with lots of hands).

Saturday PhotoHunt ... Chocolate

This week's Saturday PhotoHunt is ... Chocolate.  It was hard to narrow down all of my chocolate photos ... but I finally settled on this one.

Warm Chocolate Souffle in the foreground ... Dulce Leche Pudding in the background topped with Chocolate Cavier ... both from Zengo on my trip to NYC in 2011 ... oh the gastronomic memories.

Iowa City Farmers' Market

A few pictures from my Saturday Morning at the Iowa City Farmers' Market.

So many beautiful colors including this table filled with peppers.

I love the look (and taste) of fresh Brussels Sprouts.

Gorgeous sunflowers & sweet smelling tuberosa.

And my absolute favorite booth at the market ... caramel apples with caramel from scratch rolled in salted roasted pecans ... so very good.

Saturday PhotoHunt ... Hot

This week's Saturday PhotoHunt is Hot ... the first thing I thought of was fire as I glanced over to my burning candle.  

I burn candles almost every day ... and this is one of my favorite scents ... Coconut Lime Verbena ... on one of my favorite slumped glass trivets (photo snapped with my phone & edited with Instagram).

This week's Saturday PhotoHunt them is Ripple ... I love the ripples of the calm lake with the beautiful the sunset ... so peaceful.

This photo was taken in Missouri at a friend's cabin on the lake.

Saturday PhotoHunt ... Taste

This week's Saturday PhotoHunt theme is Taste ... I do love to taste ... and to take pictures of things I taste.  I decided to go wtih this amazing *picnic* lunch Lauren & I shared in Chelsea Market last year (I occasionally dream of having it all again).

At the top is a Grilled Cheese and fig spread sandwich from Lucy's Whey (unbelievable scrumptious).  The bottom is a Dragon Roll from The Lobster Place Seafood Market.  In the middle, is a mix of Italian goodies from Buon Italia (stuffed eggplant & mushrooms) ... together with a peek of my Diet Ginger Ale.  Absolutely fantastic company & food.

Saturday PhotoHunt ... Creative

This week's Saturday PhotoHunt Theme is Creative ... so many possibilities.  

I went with my first thought which was this piece of art I made in 2008 in Kal Barteski's class when I attended Donna Downey's first Inspired Event ... my first creative excursion that I took all on my own.  It changed the way I thought about myself as an artist ... and about being creative.

This week's Saturday PhotoHunt theme is Scoop.

Is there anything cuter than two scoops of strawberry ice cream from the Country Store at a table that was just their size ... I think not.

Saturday PhotoHunt ... Zap!

When I saw this week's Saturday PhotoHunt them of Zap ... all I could think of was an electric eel.

I don't know if this is an electric eel ... but it is an eel that we saw at the aquarium in Las Vegas.
