This week's Saturday PhotoHunt Theme is Creative ... so many possibilities.
I went with my first thought which was this piece of art I made in 2008 in Kal Barteski's class when I attended Donna Downey's first Inspired Event ... my first creative excursion that I took all on my own. It changed the way I thought about myself as an artist ... and about being creative.

Is there anything cuter than two scoops of strawberry ice cream from the Country Store at a table that was just their size ... I think not.
When I saw this week's Saturday PhotoHunt them of Zap ... all I could think of was an electric eel.
I don't know if this is an electric eel ... but it is an eel that we saw at the aquarium in Las Vegas.
This week's Saturday PhotoHunt is texture.
I love the texture of the bark on this old tree that was in my Grandparents' back yard ... it reminds me of all the hours we played outside in their back yard... and how much I miss them.
My Dad & I reflected in the bubble hubcap of a 1956 Buick Special at Duffy's.

This week's Saturday PhotoHunt them is Awesome. The first thing that came to mind was our amazing trip to see Niagara Falls ... truly awesome.
Today the Saturday PhotoHunt is ... Fresh ... which made me long for the Farmers' Market. Since I couldn't go visit there yet, I went through my photo archives and found this shot of a Farmers' Market in California that I visited with my brother.
Fresh flowers ... fresh fruit ... fresh colors.
This week's Saturday PhotoHunt is Spicy, which immediately made me think of my sister who adores spicy food.
This was a picture I took when she & I were shopping at the Kansas City Farmer's Market ... will you just look at all of those beautiful spicy peppers.
This week's Saturday PhotoHunt is Play ... there were lots of possibilities, but I went with one that is bittersweet.
This is the last time I got to play with my step-mom.
She was a master at puzzles ... we used to sit at the dining room table for hours until we finally completed the picture ... the more pieces the better for her. She was also the master of the triple word score in Scrabble.
I love this picture because it reminds me of all of the wonderful experiences we got to share ... and I love my Dad's smile too. I miss playing with her.
