The final challenge for Poe Month at Gingersnap Creations is the Color Challenge ... and they're asking us to create using only Grey & Black.  

I masked my moon and then used a variety of grey inks to color my background.  I removed the mask and added a bit of orange & yellow ink for an eerie evening glow.

I picked-up this black laster-cut Mrs. Grossman's sticker at Kate's Paperie in NYC ... I love how it looks like a creepy night-time shadow.

Spooktacular

One more Halloween Card ... this one for Card Cupids using Pink Paislee's Hocus Pocus Collection with this week's CPS Sketch.

An SRM Sticker sentiment & Memory Box adhesive bling for my chandelier, and this one is ready to go in the mail.

You Are A Gem

With Halloween fast approaching, I wanted to get a few more cards made & in the mail.  I had to play with this fun little EAD Designs Halloween Owl Stickerz that I won last month (if you link up any card you make using EAD Designs products, you get a chance to win some goodies).  

I absolutely love their their stickerz are repositionable.  When I initially placed my large owl, there was a crease down the center where he was on the edge of the blue paper.  I was able to remove him, cut a little "paper shim" to place behind the rest of the owl ... problem solved.

The Sketch is from The Paper Players, purple paper is from Pink Paislee Hocus Pocus, and sentiment is an EAD Rub-on (love having them in white and love that the vinyl never tears).

Pumpkin Parade

I decided there was still time to send a few more Halloween cards, so I inked up this adorable Pumpkin Parade from 100 Proof Press (that I picked-up on my NYC adventure) together with a spooky Inkadinkado Spider Flourish my dear sister sent my way.

I used this week's Twisted Sketch with a "twist" of Orange ... together with this week's Sentimental Sunday Challenge of Halloween.  Paper & sentiment are from Little Yellow Bicycle's Frightful Collection.

Also playing along with Order of the Opus Glueii ... something wicked this way comes.

Candy Time!

For me, Halloween has always been about the candy ... chocolate mallowcremes, Reese's peanut butter pumpkins, Tootsie Rolls ... so many favorites.  My Mom always made sure we stopped at our dentist's house where he gave out free toothbrushes.

This card celebrates the love of candy using this week's Freshly Made Sketch & hues fro the Color Throwdown.

Dimensional stickers are from K&Company.  I used the green sticker packaging for my card background.  Sentiment is an SRM Sticker.

Trick or Treat

We're celebrating Edgar Allen Poe at Gingersnap Creations for October ... and this week's Spicy Supply Challenge is all about Distress Inks.

I decided to go spooky with my dapper Skeleton from Artistic Outpost's Haunted Halloween together with the new Seasonal Distress Inks ... Seedless Preserves & Ripe Persimmon.  I started by cutting my cardstock to size and sponging all over with Persimmon, leaving the center the lightest.  Then I added purple Preserves all around the edges.  I sprayed with Jingle Bells Glimmer Mist for a bit of all over sparkle after dotting a bit with water.  I love how it looks like it's glowing behind the skeleton.

The designer paper & sentiment are from Little Yellow Bicycle's Frightful Collection.  The layout is the October Sketch for You to Try ... the background is purple Core'dinations paper embossed with a spider web, sanded, and then sponged with Preserves distress ink ... spooky-fun.

Flashback Friday 16.0 ~ First Tag

The current Flashback Friday Challenge is to repost your first tag.  I went all the way back to August 2007 for this fun little Halloween Tag.

Still love those fun little Reminisce bats & ghosts after all these years ... and really  miss being able to shop at their retail store.

Tomorrow I'm off on a jet plane to meet-up with my dear friend Lauren for some artsy girlfriend fun in New York City.

Tigger-Inspired Halloween

Well, my Cardinals let me down ... but I did get another World Card Making Day card completed.

At Flourishes, they had a challenge to create a card inspired by the colors of your favorite cartoon character.  I've been missing my step-mom a lot this week as it would have been her birthday ... and one of her favorite characters was Tigger ... so I used his colors to inspire my card.

I stopped by MIchael's this morning and picked-up some fun little Halloween owls that coordinate perfectly with my Authentique Glowing papers.

Not quite like Tigger's friend owl ... but close.

The Night is Glowing

I was limited to a quick card tonight, so I pulled out my new Authentique Glowing Collection and embellishments together with this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

There was some orange tint to the spider web paper, but I added more with some Rusty Hinge Distress Ink ... a few punched bats, and it was finished.

Bad Witch?

I wanted to play along with the EAD Designs Color Challenge, which was perfect for my EAD Hocus Pocus Stickers.

I used this week's Deconstructed Sketch together with Glowing Papers from Authentique.

I offset my purple panel slightly, so I could add a flying witch to go with my classy shoe.
