It's hard to believe that it's been one year since I started my blog. My first year of blogging has been more rewarding than I ever imagined ... it included 536 posts, 2385 comments, and over 57,000 hits. I love looking back at all of the posts chronicling this wonderful year of creativity ... thanks so much to all of you for stopping by my little corner of blogland.
To celebrate, I have some goodies for one lucky reader.
All you have to do is leave me a comment by midnight on Saturday night (July 26th) telling me one of your favorite 'non-traditional' supplies that you use when you create. I'll use my dear husband the random number generator to pick a winner.
Some of my favorites are a foam sanding block that I picked up at the hardware store & sheets of 11" x 17" cardstock that I use on top of a same-size piece of craft foam for a perfect stamping surface (I got a damaged ream of paper very cheap from a local paper company).
I love Starving Artistamps ... especially their adorable Doodle Factory line. Check out this fun giveaway that features their new Doodle Factory Tropics with two sheets of sentiments ... so many to love ...like 'you smell like a monkey and you act like one too' ... I so need that one for my brothers :^)
The counter passed 45,000 last night & to thank you for stopping by and checking out my corner of blogland, I'm doing a little I-Squared Inspiration Giveaway.
The prize includes:
All you have to do for a chance to win, is leave me a comment that includes a link to one of your favorite non-stamping, non-crafting, non-scrapbooking websites that you visit every week. For me, some of the first ones that come to mind are PostSecret, Zen Habits & Story People. Try to leave an original site that hasn't already been linked up in the comments.
I'll randomly draw the winner on Monday night at 8pm central time.
Enjoy the weekend.
Triple the Sketch is giving away one of those cool Fiskars Threading Water punches if you link up a card using one of their sketches. I've had Sketch #5 saved for a while, so now is the perfect time to give it a try.
I finally ordered some cardstock from PapertreyInk (this card base is Spring Moss), and it is some seriously smooth and sturdy paper (it's so thick, I had a little trouble getting my border punch to go through).
My Inkadinkado Hacienda Flourish is stamped in ColorBox Peach Pastel Chalk Ink, and I added Basic Grey striped Cupcake DP across the center and on the inside. The bottom is punched with a Martha Stewart border punch. I added a touch of faux stitching with a blue Sakura sparkle pen and colored the butterfly's body to match (another Martha punch). The sentiment is from Hero Arts in Olive Pastel. The finished card is 4 1/4" square.
JustRite Stampers has started a new blog & to celebrate they are giving away five large Monogram Stampers with accessories. All you have to do to have a chance to win is sign up for their newsletter.
Check it out.
No creativity for me tonight, but I did manage to get most everything put away from my trip, and I found the top of my studio table, so that's some serious progress for me. Also trying to catch up on my blog reading. There are a lot of fun giveaways going on:

Happy Anniversary newlywed! I'm working on 34, that's why I say you're a newlywed! My favorite scent is vanilla and/or mango! YUMMY!
Thanks to all of you who shared your wonderful scents ... there are quite a few I need to check out. I think the most unique scent was Sue Farrant who said:
This is going to sound really funny to some..but I adore the smell of a baby puppy's tummy! LOL...have you ever kissed a puppy on the fat little milk belly they have? OH..so sweet! Just be careful they don't nip your nose with those needle like puppy teeth! LOL
Happy Anniversary!
For making me smile with that one, I'd like to send you a little something too.
Both of you fine ladies e-mail me your address, so I can get your goodies on the way.
Also, check out the fabulous Home Inspired Gallery ... I am so amazed by all of the wonderful inspiration and amazing creations.
You have until midnight on Monday (March 31st) to get your Homegrown fruit & vegetable cards linked in the Caardvarks gallery ... there's another great Itty Bitty Scrap Shack kit up for grabs, as well as a guest designer spot. There's also a fabulous spotlight and amazing card artist Rae Barthel.
I see that my blog counter raced past 30,000 today (thanks Kristina), so it's time for another fun I-Squared Inspiration Giveaway. This time it's a big one ... the fabulous Rainbow Sherbet kit from Caardvarks & Itty Bitty Scrap Shack (that includes the one of a kind Eat Dessert First Stamp)... along with three rolls of love ribbon and a great Impression Obsession Stamp (I loved it so much, I bought it twice).
All you have to do is leave a comment by midnight CST Saturday night (March 29th ... my Wedding Anniversary ... happy 9 years babe) telling me what your favorite smell/scent is. I love to burn candles that fill my house with yummy smells, and lately I've been drawn to clean scents like Ginger/Lime, Seltzer, and Grapefruit.
