I had fun playing with ink tonight inspired by the talented Julie Ebersole at CASE Study. Julie's cards were some of the very first ones I saved to my favorites when I discovered the online stamping community ... and many years later, she continues to inspire.
I loved her white-on-kraft design with pops of color, so that's what I incorporated into my design using this week's CAS(E) this Sketch. I also cut into my new White Wood Grain paper that arrived in the mail today from Studio Calico.
I stamped Everything Flowers in White Ink on kraft cardstock & embossed with detail white embossing powder. Next, I used my Spectrum Noir markers to add a pop of color to one of the blooms. I used a little golden glitter pen to highlight the center.
I decided to use a *HI* sentiment for the Hero Arts *Hello Cards* & *Spring* March Challenges. After adding a wrap of Hero Arts Twine, I tried several butterflies as embellishments ... but decided to channel my inner Julie a bit more and added some funky blinged sunglasses stamped in Teal Zeal and embossed several time to make the lenses reflective.
Here's Julie's inspiring card design:
